Hallo thar.

Merry Christas and Happy New Year! Yes, I'm fully aware that it's nearly the middle of February. But the last month and a half has been absolutely crazy. Seriously. Let me fill you in:

Destructoid hired me as a comic artist for a weekly community driven webcomic and since then, I have been swamped with requests and commissioned pieces. Plus, I'm in University, so that sucks up quite a bit of my time. Which ultimately meant I couldn't give Life Sucks the attention it deserved. This was supposed to be my big comeback and all.

There's not much more I can say... other than...

I FAIL.

Yup. Sorry.

A lot of people want to know how often I'm going to update the comic, so I'll fill you in. I'll update whenever I can, I have a couple of comics in backup that just need a couple of touch ups, so they'll be up soon. But like I said, I'd love to stick to a schedule... but with the way things are at the moment, that's gonna be impossible.

On the plus side... it feels awesome to get paid for drawing. :D

Also, I'll be adding the missing webpages to the site this week.

FINALLY.

So the update queue finally unclogged itself. GAWD.... it took forever. But anyway, as you can see, the new pages are up! It's funny how everything goes wrong when you plan something. For example, I chose the 12th of December to restart the comic, completely forgetting that it was my cousins birthday and also the final deadline for one of my assignments! Well... I'm here now.

Technical difficulty.

Comicgenesis is playing up for some reason, it won't let me upload the comic. If you want to see it, I've hosted it on my DevianART account. Hope you like it! Let me know what you think!

The first new page! Well... sorta...

Hey guys! It's good to be back! So yeah, the current page is a temporary rush job on the colouring. I spend so long colouring the next few pages, I completely forgot about the first two pages! So... uh... yeah, organisation is most definitely not my strong point. Also I had an assignment due in today and so I haven't slept for the last two days. Time management is another of my not so strong points. The actual, factual double page spread will be up on Sunday.

Stupid real life getting in the way of my hobbies.

All change.

Hello there! This is the new layout! Hope you like it, I may be adjust a few things here and there (like get the comic navigation buttons working), but this is pretty much it. As you can see I'm going to have covers for each storyline now, to the right you'll notice a thumbnail for the cover of the current storyline. As always, keep checking back to see what I've added and email me if you run into any problems with the site.

Edit: Navigation buttons are working, also set the links to the Life Sucks Facebook page and my DeviantArt account. Say hi sometime!

Nearly there.

The comic update is going along smoothly, should be all set to be up and running by the 12th. I've got a couple of pages inked so far, I want to stay ahead of the updates this time, so I'm not rushing to do a comic the night before. I'm also completely reworking the website. Keep checking back every now and again, I'll be adding a few new things to the site before the comic starts back up again.

The return.

Hey guys! So... fwuh...yeah. Sorry... you know, for disappearing. How many times have I said this before? I know many times. I was honestly thinking about never doing the comic again, ever. I was just getting so fed up with it, I just stopped. I hated every page I was drawing, hated the stories, all of it. Once I decided I probably won't go back to it, I started remembering about all the work I put into it, the characters I'd created, the world they lived in... it was wierd.

The last few months I've had Mack, Leo, Barker and Kitty nearly constantly at the back of my mind, I never realised how attached I had gotten to these characters, they were my creations, my children. I couldn't just abandon them, they needed to live! Remember all the good times we had? Remember when Barker first moved in? When Mack first met Kitty? Or when Leo had that accident with the coffee machine? Yes, I couldn't just stand by and let these characters die, they must go on.

I must warn you though, in order to turn Life Sucks into something I want to do, something I feel I will enjoy carrying on with, it will be different. The comic will no longer be divided into 'episodes' where each individual comic formed one episode, it will be separated into pages! Just like a real comic book! This means that some pages won't be as self contained as they used to. Story arcs will last longer, in some cases up to 20 pages. I'm writing this comic more like a book rather than a webcomic as I want to develop the characters a bit more than I used to. Some people may feel as though this will cause stories to drag on, if you feel like that, I don't mean to be rude, but tough, this is my webcomic and I have to do it in a way that I'm happy with.

Anyway... I hope you like it, If you have any questions, comment here or send me an email at my new email address! Also, I'll slowly be updating the site before the return, so feel free to check back every now and again!
